About
Dominique Wu
Dominique Wu builds at the intersection of education and emerging technology. As founder of XReality, Inc., she creates immersive learning experiences — including LitStage, a 3D educational platform for K-12 and higher ed. She serves as an AI Fellow supporting the California Community Colleges system, advising on AI adoption across the state’s colleges, and speaks and consults on XR classrooms, AI in teaching, and emerging-tech literacy. Her weekly newsletter, Emerging Tech, translates the frontier into plain language for educators. She writes it in her personal capacity — it is not affiliated with any public agency.
How I write about this
Four rules, and they are not negotiable:
- Practitioner, not pundit. “I built, deployed, or taught this” beats “reports suggest.”
- Plain language. If a dean and a welding instructor can’t both follow it, it gets rewritten.
- Honest about limits. Every capability claim ships with its failure mode.
- No invented numbers. A statistic without a named source gets cut, not softened.
